Big-Hitting Quiros Adds Power To European Challenge
Bangkok (November 23): Spaniard Alvaro Quiros will showcase his big hitting prowess in the fourth edition of the Royal Trophy.
Following confirmation of his appearance at Amata Spring Country Club from January 8-10, Quiros said: "It is a tremendous honour to be part of such a powerful European Team - and to be playing in a competition so closely associated with a true golfing legend as Seve Ballesteros.

Miyazaki (November 22): Edoardo Molinari underlined his standing as a star of the future by pulling off the biggest win of his career in the 200 million yen (about US$2.2 million) Dunlop Phoenix Tournament.
In a thilling climax to one of the blue riband events of the Japan Golf Tour, the Italian pipped Swede Robert Karlsson in a sudden-death play-off at the Phoenix Country Club in Miyazaki Prefecture.
One shot clear at the top going into the final round, Molinari posted a closing five-under-par 66. His 72-hole aggregate of 13-under 271 was matched by Karlsson, who carded a 65.

Westwood is seeking to improve on the 54th place finish he gained at last week’s UBS Hong Kong Open.

Proud Liang Commits Himself To Asia's Royal Trophy Cause
Bangkok (November 16): Liang Wen-chong will fly the China flag as a member of the Asian Team that bids to defend its Royal Trophy title against Europe in January.
The nomination of the People’s Republic of China’s top golfer adds further strength to the line-up being prepared by Asian Team captain Naomichi ‘Joe’ Ozaki.
Liang will join the Thai duo of Thongchai Jaidee and Prayad Marksaeng, the Japanese pair of Ryo Ishikawa and Yuta Ikeda, Indian Jeev Milkha Singh and Korean Charlie Wi in the team at Bangkok's Amata Spring Country Club from January 8-10.

JBWere Australian Masters: Relieved Tiger Tastes Victory
Melbourne (November 15): Tiger Woods claimed his first ever win in Australia as the world number one captured the 2009 JBWere Australian Masters title at Kingston Heath on Sunday.
Woods, the joint leader after 54 holes with Australians Greg Chalmers and James Nitties, fired a final round 68 at the historic 6,455-metre par-72 layout in Melbourne's renowned sand belt to prevail by two shots from Chalmers (70) in outright second.
Francois Delamontagne of France elevated himself from amongst the also rans with weekend rounds of 68 and 69 for a share of third place on 10-under with American Jason Dufner (70) while Nitties (73) rounded out the top five at minus nine.
